Our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away peacefully on December 14, 2018 at Aljoya Retirement Home. He was born in Seattle on September 12, 1921 and met Marilyn Matheson, the love of his life, at age 7. Gord graduated from Lincoln High School and the University of Washington and was a lifelong Husky fan arriving by boat at football games with friends and family.

Gord and Marilyn married in 1944 and had 74 years together. They have one child, Linda Jackman (Eric) and grandson Adam Jackman. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served during World War II as a C-47 pilot stationed in Italy. Upon returning, he became a Special Agent in the FBI stationed in San Antonio and Washington, D.C. Wishing to return to the West Coast, Gord began a 30 year career at Boeing. Upon retirement, Gord and Marilyn enjoyed many years of boating, traveling with friends, the Seattle Yacht Club and enjoying their retirement years together.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on January 24, at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church where they were choir members for 52 years.
