Harry Walter Snyder
Harry died quietly the morning of Monday, August 16th. He was 89 years old. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Harry and Marie Snyder. A decorated combat pilot, he served our country in Europe with the Eighth Air Force, 448th Bomb Group. On his return to the United States he met and married Mildred Hermansky and they raised three sons. After graduating from St. Louis University he embarked on a career as an aerospace engineer, working on Project Gemini, numerous military projects, and leading Flight Crew Training for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. He was preceded in death by his son John. He is survived by his wife Mildred; son and daughter in law Mark and Sondra; son and daughter in law Scott and Malinda; granddaughters Sondra and Lara; and sisters Lillian Janssen and Dorothy Rydberg.
