Helen L. Thiessen

Helen L. Thiessen, 85, died December 1, 2012 in the home of her youngest daughter in Maple Valley, WA. She was born and grew up in Michigan where she studied to become a Licensed RN. Helen met her husband Peter in Michigan where they were married and lived for many years. In the 1960’s she and her family moved to Washington and lived on Mercer Island. Helen retired from Group Health where she specialized as a labor and delivery RN. Helen is survived by two daughters Patricia and Deborah, three grandsons Alex, Kurtis and Thomas and one sister Ruth. Peter, her husband of 59 years passed away in 2009. Her committal is scheduled for 1:15 PM, Friday, December 14, 2012 at Tahoma National Cemetery.
