Helen Marie Rector, 73, a resident of Mercer Island from 1963 to 2007, died on April 5, 2009 in Olympia, Wash., from respiratory failure. She was the mother of Lauri Garcia (Carlos) and Julie Rector (Ron), and grandmother of Rosanne and Charlie Garcia.
