Ingeborg A. Loendorf

Ingeborg A. Loendorf, 78, of Mercer Island, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012. Inga was born to Laura and Kresten Jordal of Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from the Long Island School of Nursing and soon came out west with friends. She was a long time OB-GYN RN at Virginia Mason and Group Health Cooperative. Inga met her husband, Boyd, through fellow nurse, roommate and friend Mickie. Inga was a longtime volunteer at Food Lifeline, a forty year subscriber to the Seattle Opera and a member of the Daughters of Norway. In later years, Inga’s pride and joy was her granddaughter Sarah and loving friendships with the Granny Nannies of the North End. Inga is survived by her sisters Lillian and Helen, son John, daughter-in-law Rosella and much loved granddaughter Sarah. Donations may be made in Inga’s honor to the Seattle Opera Foundation, 1020 John Street, Seattle, WA 98109. A service will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, August 16, at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church.
