Born April 21, 1926, passed away January 1, 2020 in Bellingham. Graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Architecture. In early years, he was employed by large firms and then began his own practice in 1953 which he ran until 2010, specializing in custom residential design.

Married for 71 years to Patty. They had two sons, Michael and Stephen, and a daughter, Emily (who predeceased him) and two grandsons, Forrest and Robin.
