John MacDougall Davis

John M. Davis, born in Seattle on February 20, 1914, died at Covenant Shores on Mercer Island on April 17, 2015. Mr. Davis enjoyed living on his parents’ property on Mercer Island during his youth, and raised his six children on the same north-end property.

His career in law began in 1940, and grew into the firm of Davis Wright Tremaine. Mr. Davis sat on the Mercer Island School Board for ten years as both member and chair. After his family was grown, he and his, wife, Ruth, lived at Covenant Shores for over 20 years.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Davis will be held at 10a.m. Friday, May 15, in the Fellowship Hall at Covenant Shores at 9107 Fortuna Drive, Mercer Island, Washington. All are welcome.

Another service in Mr. Davis’ honor will be held at 1p.m., Sunday, May 17, at the Mercer Island Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at the church. The address is 3605 84th Ave. S.E., Mercer Island, Washington.
