Jon Hall passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021. He was 89 years old and still very independent, living in the same house that he and his wife Adele built on Mercer Island in the 1960’s. He worked in the insurance industry for many years, and was an avid reader and loved sailing.
He was born in Ashland, Wisconsin on May 16, 1932 to Rubie W. Hall and Esther Ione Hall. The family moved to Portland, Oregon and he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was in the Korean War in a reconnaissance division from 1950 to 1952. After returning to the states, he attended Clark College in Vancouver, Washington and graduated from San Jose State in 1958. He married Adele G. Hall on September 1, 1956, and they were married for 62 years. Adele passed away on December 25, 2018.
He is survived by his son, Rob Hall of Mequon, Wisconsin, and his daughter, Susie Lowry of Seattle. He had 4 wonderful grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
A service will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery on December 13th at 11:00 am.
