Karen J. Zimmer

Karen J. Zimmer passed on peacefully Monday, July 4, 2016 at her sister’s home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 2, 1957 to Irving and Rose Zimmer in Seattle.

After graduating from Mercer Island High School and attending the University of Washington, she went on to graduate from the University of Puget Sound Law School. Her education served her well throughout her successful career as a business owner and personal injury attorney. Through her work her love for helping and advocating for others became especially apparent.

When she was not helping those who needed it most, she enjoyed spending ample time with her family and many friends, exploring her past and ancestry, trying out new recipes, and showing her appreciation for the arts. Karen cared deeply for other people, and had a unique way of helping others expand their perspective and think positively.

Her passing was preceded by her mother and father. She is survived by her sister Kathy, brother-in-law Ray, nieces Celina and Marlo, and too many close family members and friends to count.

Her memory will live on through the many amazing memories and experiences she helped create. We love you most, xoxo.
