Kathleen H. Mason

Kathleen H. Mason passed away on April 27, 2012. She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on December 21, 1926. She was the daughter of Andrew Hanson and Lila Hanson. Kathleen was an outstanding artist and a High School Art Teacher, teaching many years at Durango High School. Throughout her life, she has lived in several unique places, such as small villages in Japan for 12 years, Durango, Colorado for 18 years and on Mercer Island, Washington for 20 years.Kathleen is preceded in death by her husbands Donald Rx Doherty and James R. Mason, brother, Richard Hanson, and daughter, Susan Doherty Braun. Kathleen is survived by her brother, Roger Hanson, and children Kelly Schuchart Stubbs and husband Darrell, Charles Doherty and wife Louise, Sarah Kennedy and husband Mike, and Steve Mason and wife, Doreen. Her grandchildren are Andy Braun, Bo Bestvina, Christopher Schuchart, Michael Schuchart, and Colleen Kennedy. She had 2 great grandchildren, Christian and Nevaeh. Assisting the family: Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Arizona. Funeral services will be held in private.
