Laszlo F. Zsitvay

Laszlo F. Zsitvay, 78, died suddenly Sunday, March 13, 2011. He leaves his wife of 25 years Joann (Kerttula) Zsitvay, three sons Steven, Martin, and Frank and sister Elizabeth Lindner and brother John Zsitvay. Laszlo was born in Gyor, Hungary, May 21, 1933. He spent most of his formative years in Budapest, Hungary, and escaped to Austria during the revolution of 1956. He immigrated to the United States in 1959 and settled in Seattle, Washington. In his home country he was a dentist and after immigrating to the Northwest owned Ortho Dental Laboratories. Later he worked as machine engineer for Washington Iron Works and George Scofield Inc.. Shortly thereafter became a general contractor and built several houses locally. He was an avid dancer, gardener, renowned cook who enjoyed spending his time studying history, science and engineering. He loved spending time with his boys, extended family and friends. The Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 31st 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Monica’s Church on Mercer Island.
