Nathan Janos Jones, passed away on December 10, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois. He was 40 years old.

Nathan was born August 2, 1978 in Denver, Colorado. He was a graduate of Mercer Island High School, the University of Washington and the University of San Diego School of Law. Nathan spent most of his successful career in the title insurance industry as an attorney and underwriter. He had a reputation among his colleagues as a hard working professional and a gentleman.

Nathan will be remembered by his friends and family as kind, fun loving, and good natured. He was quick to strike up a conversation with friends and newcomers alike and always made everyone around him feel welcomed. He had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.

Nathan loved music. He attended concerts as often as he could. During his school years he played the saxophone and later taught himself the guitar and piano. He was in his element playing music and writing songs. Nathan excelled athletically. He played soccer from age 5 on through adulthood and also enjoyed tennis, running, skiing and snowboarding.

He was devoted to his son, teaching him sports, building things, going to the beach and on hikes with their dog Huckleberry, and just playing together.

Nathan is survived by his son Oliver age 6, parents Paul and Sharon, and his brother Nicholas.
