Patty Gropp, a longtime Mercer Island resident, born in 1927 in New York City, passed away November 19, 2021 in Bellingham. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in fine arts and later obtained a teaching qualification from Seattle University. In addition to raising her family in north Seattle and Mercer Island, she was an accomplished serigraph printmaker, keen gardener, and avid traveler.

Married for 71 years to Jerry (who predeceased her), they had two sons, Michael and Stephen, and a daughter, Emily (who also predeceased her), daughters-in-law Gale and Mary, and grandsons Forrest and Robin.

As she preferred, there will be no service.
