Sylvia Theodora (Johnson) Roehl
Sylvia (Sly) peacefully passed away on July 1, 2010 in Seattle at the age of 84. Sylvia was born December 16, 1925 in Seattle to Swan and Marie (Dahl) Johnson. She graduated from Ephrata High School, Deaconess School of Nursing and Whitworth College. Sylvia was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years in Spokane and Bellevue, including over 30 years at Overlake Hospital. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Arizona Heart Institute. Sylvia loved the Lord, her family, and friends. She enjoyed helping others and spending summers at the family cabin at Priest Lake, Idaho and winters in Mesa, Arizona. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Norman; her daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Fritz Anderson of Denver, Colorado; and her son, Bob, of Boise, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, her brother, Edgar, and her “adopted” mother, Belle Freed, and brother, Cletus Freed.
