Virginia “Ginna” Seese, 93, died peacefully on April 18, 2017.
Born in Great Falls, Montana on March 14, 1924, she moved to Seattle at the age of 13 and graduated from Franklin High School in 1942.
She spent her career in early childhood education and retired as Director of Cooperative Preschools for South Seattle Community College.
She loved animals, and welcomed dozens of stray pets over the years. In her later years she was known to all as “Grandma Bunny,” and made each person who spent time with her feel special and important.
She will be missed by so many, especially her daughters Barbara Koefod (Richard), and Marla Stewart, sons Leland Seese (Lisa Konick), and Shawn Lightning, and grandchildren Marlon, Toby, Jeremy, Siobhan, Devin, Gloria, Alia, and Jha’Quez.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 1, at Mt. Baker Presbyterian Church, 3201 Hunter Blvd. S., Seattle 98144. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seattle Humane Society or Mount Baker Presbyterian Church.
