Wesley A Phillips, Jr.

Wesley A. Phillips, Jr. passed away on February 4, 2013 at age 87. He was born in Olney, Illinois on January 11, 1926 to Wesley and Mabel Phillips.He was a World War II veteran who served in the 7th Army Infantry Division and participated in the invasion of Okinawa. He was a 50+ year member of the Masonic Lodge. An active Republican, he served as the Oregon State Young Republican Chairman. He graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 1950 with a degree in Political Science. He served as the Regional Director for Region X American Revolution Bicentennial Administration and continued his government service with King County as a legislative aid to the King County Council. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Helen, son Mark (Aleta) and granddaughter, Lindsay, of Bellevue. At his request, there will be no services; however, donations in his name may be made to the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation at donate.history.org.
