Brackmann named CMS Athlete of the Year

Photo courtesy of Emily Nordhoff Mercer Island High School 2013 graduate Kris Brackmann, who was one of the best women’s basketball players on the Division-III Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas collegiate basketball program the past four seasons, was named the 2017 CMS Athlete of the Year on June 14. Brackmann averaged 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2 steals per game during the 2016-17 season. The Athenas won the SCIAC championship for the fourth consecutive season.
