Alexander Hoff, a recent Mercer Island High School graduate and 12-time automatic All American qualifier, competed in the PNS championship swim meet the week of July 23-26.
Hoff won the 200 Individual Medley (IM), 400 IM, 200 back and 100 back. He qualified in four events for the upcoming U.S. Open to be held at the King County Aquatics Center, Aug. 4-8.
He also qualified with his first Olympic trials time in the 200-meter IM. Hoff, 17, will be swimming for the University of Michigan in the fall for head coach Mike Bottom, the former coach of Nathan Adrian and Gary Hall Jr., both Olympic champions.
He is excited to have the opportunity for a potential run at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
Hoff says he would love the opportunity to bring a gold medal home to Mercer Island.
