The Mercer Island boys basketball team lost to Mount Si 49-40 for the third time in one week. The loss came during the first round of the 3A KingCo tournament at Bellevue Community College on Thursday.

Quinn Sterling scored Mercer Island’s first eight points of the game and led the team with 18 points during the game.

Mercer Island will play the loser of the Bellevue and Juanita game for the third seed to the district playoffs on Friday at Bellevue Community College.
