Islander David Schiller will hold his fifth annual Free Throws for MS fundraiser from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Stroum Jewish Community Center.

Schiller will make 1000 free throws at the event, which he began in 2013 to raise MS awareness after both his father and brother, Mike, had been diagnosed with the disease. Mike Schiller will make 50 free throws of his own at the event.

Community members are encouraged to show up and take a few shots of their own at the other hoops in the SJCC gym. There will be games and prizes at the event, as well as doughnuts and bagels.
