The Mercer Island Islanders boys lacrosse team registered a comeback 6-4 victory against the Bellevue Wolverines on April 26. The Islanders, who trailed the Wolverines 3-2 at halftime, outscored Bellevue 4-1 in the second half to earn the win. Bellevue was ranked No. 1 in the state prior to the matchup against Mercer Island. Donnie Howard scored a team-high three goals in the win for the Islanders. Stew Vassau scored two goals and Mitchell Mandt added one goal for Mercer Island.
