The Mercer Island Islanders boys swim team earned first place at the 27th annual Kentridge Invitational meet on Jan. 6 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
There were 43 high schools who competed at the meet. Mercer Island compiled 698 team points. Mercer Island swimmer James Richardson nabbed first place in the 100 fly and second place in the 100 backstroke. Killian Riley registered a third place finish in the 200 free. Kyle Bailey finished in second place in the 200 IM. The 200 medley relay team consisting of Alex Edwards, Carson Coe, Bailey and Richardson captured third place. The 200 free relay quartet of Oliver Hoff, Nate Robinson, Coe and Riley tallied a third place finish. The 400 free relay team of Riley, Richardson, Robinson and Hoff registered a second place finish.
