Manhas signs on to play tennis at University of Portland

University of Portland men’s tennis has announced the signing of Mercer Island High School two-year captain and senior Gian Manhas on an academic scholarship to the Division I school. He will attend the Pamplin School of Business. A press release notes that Manhas is a four-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net and Top 10 in the Pacific Northwest region for his age. He placed seventh at the Washington 3A State Singles Championships as a sophomore in 2023 and then finished third at state in doubles last spring. More story to come.
