The Mercer Island baseball team beat Juanita on Wednesday night by six runs. The final score was 10-4 for the Islanders.

The board read 0-0 until the bottom of the third when Mercer Island score twice, followed by four in the fourth for a 6-0 lead.

Juanita scored four runs of their own in the top of the fifth, but another four from Mercer Island sealed the win for the Islanders.

Mercer Island scored 10 runs off 10 hits with three errors, while the Rebels had four runs off eight hits and four errors.

Nick Chandler was 3-4 in the game with one run and two RBI, while Alex Himstead was 1-3 with a run, while Zach Rothenberg was 0-1 with two runs scored. Sean Casey scored two runs and was 2-4 at the plate. Keegan Ogard was 1-2 with one RBI, Beau Hibbert was 1-2 at the plate, scoring three runs with one RBI. Karsten Sherman was 2-2 with one RBI.

The Islanders will host Liberty on Friday, April 26 at Island Crest Park at 6 p.m.
