Mercer Island boys tennis team wins Class 3A state championship

Islanders earn a state title.

The Mercer Island Islanders boys tennis team compiled 25 team points, earning the Class 3A state championship on May 26. Lakeside finished in second place with 17 team points. In the Class 3A singles tournament, Islanders player Christian Anderson captured third place and teammate Chris Elliot finished in fourth place.
