Mercer Island grapplers compete at Highline Invitational

The Mercer Island wrestling team saw seven of its grapplers compete at the Highline Invitational wrestling tournament at Mount Rainier High School on Jan. 6.

Islanders’ 195-pound wrestler Donnie Howard captured first place at the tournament, registering a 3-0 record. Mercer Island 138-pounder Eli Pruchno (pictured) registered a second place finish, compiling an overall record of 2-1. Islanders’ 160-pounder Jonah Andrews captured second place with a record of 2-1.
