The Mercer Island boys team improved its overall record to 5-0 courtesy of a 123-60 victory against the Lake Washington Kangaroos and a 115-55 win against the Redmond Mustangs on Jan. 11.
The 200 medley relay team of Oliver Hoff, Killian Riley, James Richardson and Nate Robinson earned first place. The 200 free relay team consisted of Evan Hill, Ethan Schwartz, Carson Coe and Robinson attained a first-place finish. The 400 free relay quartet of Richardson, Hoff, Riley and Austin Shobe registered earned first place. Islanders nabbing first place in their respective individual events consisted of Caleb Apodaca (200 free, 500 free), Alex Edwards (200 IM), Hill (50 free) and Hoff (100 free).
