MI runners shine at national cross country championship

West Mercer Elementary School students Savannah Brondstetter, left, and Beau Berry, right, competed in the USATF Junior Olympic National Cross Country championship on Dec. 9 at Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky. They notched All- American Cross Country honors as Berry placed sixth and Brondstetter placed 18th in the women’s 3,000-meter age 9-10 race.
