MIHS girls lacrosse competes at national tournament

The state-champion Mercer Island High School girls lacrosse squad went 2-2 in pool play at the Girls High School Lacrosse National Championship at FSA Sports in Farmington, Connecticut.

After dropping two games on June 29 to St. Pauls (9-3) and Middlesex School (11-7), the Islanders rebounded to beat Mira Costa (9-3) and Milton Academy (9-7) on June 30.

The invitation-only tournament featured the top 26 rated national programs playing in four brackets.
