The Mercer Island girls softball team continues to play against state tournament caliber competition in 3A KingCo, but has yet to win a game in seven league contests.

Last week, the Islander girls lost two league games including a 15-0 no-hitter at the hands of Liberty, which is a state title contender this season. Bellevue hosted Mercer Island April 3 and the visiting team was able to score two runs during the final inning of the 8-2 loss. The Islanders nearly defeated Interlake March 22, 10-6. The Islanders will host Interlake at the South Mercer Playfields on April 23.
