Jet Baseball program to conduct baseball camp on the Eastside

Steve Goucher, a former professional baseball player and Atlanta Braves scout, will team up with Jet Baseball to conduct a Mercer Island baseball camp from July 17-20.

The camp, which will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, is for players between 8-14 years old. It will take place at the South Mercer playfields located at 8220 SE 78th St. in Mercer Island.

Mercer Island girls lacrosse camp will take place in July

The Mercer Island girls lacrosse program is hosting a camp for girls lacrosse players from July 24-28 at the Islander Middle School grass field in Mercer Island.

The camp, which is for girls entering first through eighth grade, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

It will be conducted by Mercer Island High School girls lacrosse head coach Lyndsey Gillis, her coaching staff and alumni members who competed in collegiate lacrosse.
