OurMilitary.com is presenting a Sports, Leadership and Community event from 6-7:30 p.m. on Nov. 17 at Mercer Island High School. A panel hosted by ESPN’s Kenny Mayne will feature former NFL wide receiver Doug Baldwin, former NFL long snapper Nate Boyer and Kirstie Ennis, a marine and paralympic snowboarder.

According to the website, “Our panel of inspiring athletes will discuss how sports have provided a platform to become leaders in their communities. What does it mean to be a true student-athlete? How do lessons from sports transfer to the classroom, the boardroom, and beyond?”

Tickets are $15 for student-athletes and military, and $30 for general public. They are available at: https://bit.ly/2JGBbXo. All proceeds go to two nonprofits supporting veterans, MVP and Run Freely.
